NH Education Funding Safe During Shutdown

New Hampshire Education Commissioner Caitlin Davis says the state’s federal funding for its schools is safe from the federal government shutdown.

She says the funding is protected because it was forward-funded — which means it was already given to the state this past July before the school year.

In all, she says some 200-million dollars in federal funding for New Hampshire schools won’t be affected by the shutdown.
