NH Governor Presses For School Cell Phone Ban

NH Governor Kelly Ayotte is continuing to lobby for a “bell-to-bell” ban on cell phone use in schools.

Both the House and Senate have passed bills to ban cell phones in schools, but the Senate version does not include the bell-to-bell mandate.

The Committee on Conference was expected to deal with the legislation today.

The governor said cell phones are negatively impacting learning and making it harder for teachers to do their jobs.
