NH Governor’s Race One of the Closest in the Country

The New Hampshire governor’s race comes down to one candidate who is trying to jump from local to statewide office and another who wants to bring federal experience to the Statehouse.

Democratic former Manchester Mayor Joyce Craig faces Republican former U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte in Tuesday’s election to replace Republican Gov. Chris Sununu.

This race in New Hampshire is considered to be one of the closest and most expensive gubernatorial races in the country.

The last political poll before election day had Kelly Ayotte leading Joyce Craig by 4  percentage points.

Most polls in NH close at 7pm and 7:30 with a few closing the doors at 8pm.
