There are reports today that New Hampshire House Speaker Sherman Packard is retiring.
The Republican has served in the House since 1990.
Packard became speaker in 2020, replacing Dick Hinch who died from COVID.
Packard, who is 77-years-old, missed several days of this year’s legislative session after a serious fall that he said will require surgery.
