Investigators have identified the person shot and killed in Somersworth on Monday night. 36 year old Jeffrey Proudy died of a single gundhot wound to the chest. The manner of his death was homicide. Prouty was found suffering from the gunshot wound outside the apartment building at 97 High St.. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Investigators are looking into whether the person who shot Prouty acted in self-defense.
Two teens are charged with attempted murder and attempted robbery as the result of a stabbing last Thursday outside the Mall at Rockingham Park in Salem. Police said 18-year-old Ronald Marino of Manchester was arrested earlier this week. A 14-year-old who also faces charges was not identified because of his age. Authorities said the victim was critically injured.
The public is asked for help to locate a missing 29-year-old Manchester woman. Nicole Wise was last seen Christmas Eve and she reportedly left home without her cell phone or wallet. She’s described as five-feet-four inches tall, 115 pounds, brown hair, hazel eyes and chain-link tattoos on her wrists. Anyone with information is asked to contact Manchester police.
A skier is expected to recover after he was knocked unconscious on Cranmore Mountain around 10:15 a.m. yesterday. It happened on Bandit Trail, listed as an intermediate trail. The Ski Patrol performed CPR and the injured juvenile was taken to Memorial Hospital in North Conway. Authorities said the skier was wearing a helmet.
