A former youth baseball coach who had child pornography has found out his punishment for that crime. Yesterday, a judge ordered Gregg Spaulding to spend at least four years in prison. Last year, police were notified by Verizon Cloud that Spaulding might have had child sex abuse images on his phone and that was later confirmed. The judge says Spaulding could serve less time behind bars if he completes sex offender training.

The person was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment but there’s no word on their condition. Police also have not said if any charges will be filed in connection with this case.
Funeral plans are now complete for a Endicott College Sergeant Jeremy Cole of Exeter. A law enforcement walk-through is set for 1:30 p.m. next Monday at the Campbell Funeral Home in Beverly, Massachusetts, followed by a public wake from 2 to 8 p.m. Cole was killed by a wrong-way driver on I-95 in Newbury the night before Thanksgiving as he was headed to his New Hampshire home. The driver of the other vehicle, Keoma Duarte of New Bedford, was charged motor vehicle homicide, operating under the influence, and other charges.
Senator Maggie Hassan is arguing against a proposal to shift a United States Postal Service facility from Manchester to Boston. The Postmaster General says the move would be made to improve service nationally, but Hassan believes it wouldn’t benefit the Granite State at all. She claims if carriers have to drive back and forth between Manchester and Boston, deliveries would be extremely delayed. Hassan says until a detailed review of how this change would work is complete she won’t support it.
