A man behind bars after being convicted of his role in a 2007 murder is making a request. Michael Soto Junior wants his sentence of 25 years to be suspended. Soto was 17 at the time of the homicide, and was ordered to serve life behind bars, but the U.S. Supreme Court ruled automatic life sentences for minors were unconstitutional. But prosecutors say Soto hasn’t taken responsibility for his crime and the 25 year sentence is appropriate. Soto says he wants the chance to prove he can be productive in society.
