NH Primary Results

NH Governor Chris Sununu is one step closer to winning another term in office after coming out on top in a Republican primary. Sununu was able to fend off challenges from several candidates including Thaddeus Riley, Karen Testerman and Julian Acciard. The governor will now take on Democrat Doctor Tom Sherman.  If Sununu comes out on top in the contest, he’ll be the second governor in the modern history of the Granite State to earn four terms.  

In addition to governor, there were also GOP primaries held yesterday in the first and second Congressional districts as well as in the race for United States Senate. In the first district, Karoline Leavitt has declared victory and is set to battle Democratic Congressman Chris Pappas on Election Day. In the second district, Robert Burns and Keene Mayor George Hansel are still in a tight race to see who will face Democratic Congresswoman Annie Kuster. In the Republican primary for U.S. Senate, Donald Bolduc is holding onto a lead over Chuck Morse. The winner will go-head-to-head with Senator Maggie Hassan in November.
