NH Transportation Department Asks For Funds

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation is asking for help to deal with rising gas prices.
The agency is requesting the Executive Council approve more than one-million-dollars to cover fuel costs for the 96 fuel stations it operates.
The money would come from a highway surplus fund.
The DOT also has fuel adjustment clauses in it’s contracts, meaning as costs increase, the state will have to find more funding or reduce how much work gets done.
