No Injuries as Suspicious Package Prompts Brief Closure of Hudson Walmart

No injuries are reported after a Hudson Walmart was closed for over two hours Saturday morning amid fears that an ‘extremely suspicious’ backpack was found in the parking lot.

Authorities got word around 7:30 a.m. about the item found in the southeast corner of the parking lot on Lowell Road.

After officers arrived, management closed the store shortly before 10 a.m. as bomb squad members were deployed.

Officials say the backpack was deemed harmless a short time later.

The store re-opened around noon.
