No Injuries, Some Damage Following Thursday’s Twister in SW New Hampshire
Emergency officials are assessing the damage after a tornado touched down in a number of areas of southwestern New Hampshire on Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service, the twister packing maximum sustained winds of over 90 miles an hour first touched down near Base Hill Road in North Swanzey around 3 p.m. before rising and then touching down again a short distance away.
The most significant damage was reported near the Dublin School, where high winds blew down trees near the tennis courts and a toppled an outbuilding.
No injuries were reported.
