Nonprofit Files Suit Against NH Voter ID Law
A nonprofit is taking the state of New Hampshire to court over its voter identification law.
The group is called the New Hampshire Youth Movement.
The nonprofit contends the law is unconstitutional and unjustified.
The nonprofit also maintains the law would block certain qualified voters from casting a ballot.
Governor Chris Sununu signed the bill into law last month.
It would require people registering to vote to produce documents for identification, such as a birth certificate or a passport.
