Number of Whooping Cough Cases Rising Statewide

The number of Granite State residents who have been diagnosed with whooping cough is on the rise.

So far this year, there have been 25 confirmed cases of the illness among residents.

Whooping cough is an extremely contagious infection that can lead to severe illness and even death in those who contract it.

Health officials say it’s important for children and adults to get themselves vaccinated against it.
