Officials ID Motorist Killed in Weare Collision
State officials are releasing the identity of a motorist who was killed late Sunday afternoon on Route 9 in Weare.
Authorities say 21-year-old Joseph Lynch was behind the wheel when his car collided with a second vehicle shortly before 6 p.m. near Anderson Road.
The Monson man was declared dead at the scene.
A passenger, ID’d as a 20-year-old Warren resident, reportedly was rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Two motorists in the other vehicle were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause is under investigation.
