One Hospitalized After Single-Vehicle Crash in Bow Prompts Ammo-Fueled Explosion
One person is hospitalized after Saturday’s vehicle crash in Bow sparked an ammunition-fueled explosion that prompted the temporary closure of Interstate 93.
Troopers say it happened shortly before 3 p.m. just north of the Hooksett rest area.
The vehicle carrying three people hit the center median before veering across all lanes of the highway, hitting a second vehicle, then continuing on at speed into nearby woods where it hit some trees and caught fire.
All three people were able to exit the vehicle before the ammo went off.
The victim’s injuries were described as non-life threatening.
