Opposition To Dropping Vehicle Emissions Testing

The New Hampshire Auto Dealers Association and the state chapter of the Sierra Club oppose the state opting out of federal vehicle emissions testing.

The state is seeking permission from the EPA to join over 20 other states that have no Clean Air Act requirement for vehicle emissions.

The opposition was voiced yesterday at a public hearing at the state Department of Environmental Services.
