Partial Solar Eclipse, Perseid Meteors In New Hampshire Skies This Week

Residents in New Hampshire will be able to catch a glimpse of a partial solar eclipse and meteor shower.

In the Granite State, only about 16-to-20-percent of the sun will be covered by the passing moon this afternoon, which can be viewed with solar eclipse glasses.

It’ll begin just before 1 p.m. and reach its maximum point at 1:50 p.m. to 1:54 p.m, depending on your location.

The partial solar eclipse ends at about 2:45 p.m.  Because the eclipse is partial, it’s unsafe to look at the sun without protection.

The Perseid meteor shower peaks tonight into Thursday.
