Pedestrian Hurt in Downtown Meredith

The Laconia Daily Sun reports a pedestrian was injured in a collision with a truck last week.

Police Chief Michael Harper said the incident occurred around 9:35 a.m. on November 28, when the driver of a pickup-truck was turning left from Main Street onto Dover Street and the vehicle struck an adult female who was in the crosswalk.

The pedestrian suffered lower leg injuries, according to Harper, and was transported to Concord Hospital-Laconia.

He said the driver was not charged and acknowledged that area can be prone to collisions.
