Pedestrian Struck in Meredith

According to the Laconia Daily Sun, a New Hampton resident was seriously injured when he was struck by a vehicle on Sunday night.

According to the Meredith Police Department, responding officers found Thomas Sevigny, 29, lying in the eastbound shoulder of the highway.

Sevigny was apparently struck by an SUV driven by Mark Johnson, 72, of Meredith, who immediately stopped and called 911.

Johnson remained on scene and is reported to be cooperating with the investigation.
