Police Investigate Vehicle-Related Thefts in Lakes Region Towns

Area law-enforcement personnel are investigating after multiple vehicles were broken into recently at trailheads in or near two Lakes Region towns.

Police in Moultonborough say two vehicles were broken into at the town’s Bald Knob parking lot last weekend and a pocketbook was stolen.

Sometime later, three cars were broken into at the Walter Newton Conservation area near Plymouth.

State police are advising motorists to securely lock their vehicles and ensure that any valuables left inside are hidden from sight.

No suspect information was immediately available.
