Police Officer Killed On Piscataqua River Bridge

All southbound lanes on the Piscataqua River Bridge reopened around at 6:30 this morning.

Those lanes were closed around 1:30 a.m. due to a two vehicle crash.

A man pronounced dead at the scene was identified as 41-year-old Jacob Wolterbeek.

He was an off-duty sergeant with the Biddeford, Maine, Police Department. He was driving home to Portsmouth at the time of the crash.
