Poll: Majority Support NH’s First Primary Status
Six in ten Granite State residents support the law requiring New Hampshire’s presidential primary to be first in the nation.
A new UNH poll found 77-percent of Republicans, 72-percent of independents and 43-percent of Democrats support the law.
The margin of error is plus or minus two-point-two percent.
The issue is contentious this year as the national Democratic Party says South Carolina will hold the first primary and that New Hampshire will be punished if it defies the plan.
