Portsmouth Approves Outdoor Concert at Famous ‘Whale Wall’ Parking Lot
A one-day outdoor concert with beer and wine garden is coming to downtown Portsmouth this June.
The Portsmouth City Council approved the Saturday, June 16th outdoor concert at their meeting this week.
According to the Portsmouth Herald, it’s being described as a “New Orleans- themed” concert to be held in the Worth parking lot off Maplewood Avenue.
The Portsmouth Music Hall and the city are partnering to organize the event, and tickets will most likely be between $12 and $25. No artists or bands have been announced yet.
And speaking of outdoor music in Portsmouth, season tickets for the Prescott Parks Arts Festival are on sale now.
These are good for any of the musical acts or plays all throughout the summer series. And while nothing has officially been announced yet, the city and the PPAF recently met to talk about a new covered stage that would allow shows to continue during rain, something they’re not able to do now with the current stage.
