Portsmouth Free Parking Program a Success

The city’s new approach to its traditional free holiday parking program in December 2023 was a success, judging by the reaction of the public.

The City Council voted to change its previous approach of offering three hours of free parking at on-street meters to three free hours in either of the city’s municipal parking garages.

The length of the program was extended from 10 days in 2022 to 21 days in 2023.
