Portsmouth Garage Offers Free Holiday Parking

The City Council voted to allow three hours of free holiday parking in either one of the city’s municipal parking garages starting Monday, December 11^th through January 1^st.

A 6-2 vote by the City Council this week extends the parking holiday to more than three weeks this year, up from just nine days a year ago.

The motion to approve the parking holiday came after a lengthy debate Monday night about whether the parking holiday should occur at the city’s premium on-street parking spots or in the garages.
