Portsmouth Mayor Makes Decision On Future

Portsmouth Mayor Deaglan McEachern is making a decision about his political future.

McEachern says after careful consideration, he’s not entering the race for governor.

McEachern, a Democrat, said in a statement that a primary would divide attention when the people of New Hampshire need results.

He also pledged to keep fighting to lower property taxes, expanding affordable housing and working to reduce rising energy and health care costs.
