Possible Murder Suicide In Whitefield

The death of a man and injuries to three relatives in Whitefield are being investigated as attempted murders and a suicide. The NH Attorney General’s Office said police found three people suffering from gunshot wounds after they were called to the small town of Whitefield on a report of a vehicle driving erratically and striking other vehicles.

Police found 59-year-old Amy Blake, and her two sons, 41-year-old Michael Marro and 29- year-old Eric Blake Jr. suffering from gunshot wounds. The three were taken to hospitals, where Eric Blake Jr. was pronounced dead.

Michael Marro and Amy Blake are currently  listed in critical condition.

In addition, a fourth family member, 53 year-old Eric Blake, Sr.  who suffered an apparent gunshot wound, was able to drive himself to the hospital where he reported the incident. He is currently in stable condition.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on Eric Blake, Jr., earlier today in Concord, and determined that Eric Blake, Jr.’s cause of death was a single gunshot wound of the head and the manner of death was suicide. Currently, detectives are investigating this event as a potential attempted murder and suicide.

While the investigation is still ongoing, all known parties have been identified, and there is no known threat to the general public.
