Safety Officials Report Decline in Deadly Crashes
State safety officials report deadly crashes declined in New Hampshire from 2022.
As of this past Wednesday, there were 127 people killed in crashes in 2023 compared with 146 in 2022.
Meanwhile, state officials also report an increase in fatal motorcycle crashes involving riders not wearing helmets, from 22 in 2022 to 31 in 2023.
Also, nearly 66% of fatal crashes in 2022 involved drugs or alcohol.
State safety officials say they’re working with local law enforcement to lower that number this year.
