Sanbornville Man Faces Charges After Chase

A New Hampshire man is accused of leading police on a chase through two states early Sunday morning.

New Hampshire State Police said 30-year-old Michael Bennett of Sanbornville allegedly stole merchandise from a store in Sanford, Maine, and fled in a U-Haul box truck.

The vehicle eventually got stuck in the mud in Rochester and Bennett was apprehended after he tried to escape on foot.

Charges include reckless conduct and resisting arrest.
