Secure Psychiatric Unit Death Investigation
The circumstances surrounding the death of a man in the Secure Psychiatric Unit on the state prison campus in Concord is being investigated by the Attorney General’s office.
Authorities said 50-year-old Jason Rothe was not responsive after a physical altercation Saturday afternoon with several corrections officers.
He was pronounced dead at a hospital and the results of an autopsy are inconclusive.
