Settlement for Tricked NH Taxpayers

Consumers who were tricked into paying for free tax services will receive reimbursements. New Hampshire will get nearly $729,000 from the more than $141,000,000 multi-state settlement with Intuit, the owner of Turbo Tax.

Nearly 28,000 Granite Staters were tricked into paying to file their federal tax return.

The Attorney General’s office said eligible taxpayers will be contacted via email, and that checks will be sent out throughout this month.
