Staffing Shortage At NH DOC
The state Department of Corrections is facing a severe staffing shortage.
It currently has less than half the corrections officers needed to be fully staffed.
The National Guard is currently deployed at the men’s prison to help ease the strain on the workforce.
Additionally, the Executive Council has approved nine-million-dollars to help DOC deal with an overtime budget deficit.
