Suspect in Custody Following Gilford Shooting

A local man is in custody following Friday night’s shooting in Gilford that left another man dead.

Police say 45-year-old Brian Horvath faces manslaughter and reckless conduct with a deadly weapon for his alleged role in the shooting death.

The body of the victim, whose identity was not released, was found inside a residence on Timber Lane.

He reportedly had suffered a single gunshot to the chest sometime before officers arrived at the scene around 9:45 p.m.

Horvath is scheduled to be arraigned on charges Monday.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
