Tim Scott Says Trump Represents ‘Return to Normalcy’
An opponent-turned-supporter of Donald Trump says the former president represents a ‘return to normalcy.’
Speaking on ABC’s This Week, South Carolina Senator and former GOP presidential candidate Tim Scott said voters who support Trump support a return to normalcy in terms what affects them personally.
Scott dropped out of the race in November and officially announced his support for Trump at a New Hampshire rally heading into last Tuesday’s primary.
When asked about a jury’s $83-million judgment against Trump in writer E. Jean Carroll’s civil damages trial, Scott said he believes the ‘average’ American isn’t concerned with lawsuits involving the former president.
