Town Election Day In NH

Residents in more than 100 New Hampshire communities will vote or attend Town Meeting Day today to decide local spending and other issues including town and school budgets and school board and selectmen.
This is the first election under a new state law requiring voter registration documents.
New voters must provide documents proving their identity, where they live and U.S. citizenship.
Before the law went into effect, new voters could sighn an affidavit saying that they were a citizen, but that is no longer accepted.
All voters should bring an ID to the polls. Different documents can be used to verify identity, citizenship and domicile.
