Trial for Manchester Woman Accused of Discarding Newborn

The trial of a woman accused of discarding her newborn infant is set to begin January 22nd.

Alexandra Eckersley gave birth in a tent in the woods of Manchester on Christmas Day 2022.

In newly filed court documents her lawyer wants the prosecution to refrain from calling Eckersley’s son a ‘discarded infant’ saying there is no evidence to support the statement.
