Unhealthy Air Alert Today

Smoke from wildfires burning in Canada is filling the skies high above New Hampshire and Maine today, triggering concerns about the air quality.

An air quality alert is in effect for all of the region through 11 tonight.

According to the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, current information shows moderate levels of ground-level ozone and particle pollution, and the potential exists for the air to become unhealthy for sensitive people.
