Union Threatens Bus Driver Strike

Bus drivers and other workers in several multiple communities in New Hampshire are threatening to strike.

This comes right before the onset of the 2024-2025 school year.

A spokesperson for Teamsters Local 633 announced Friday that the union is seeking a new contract for its members from bus transportation company First Student.

Among other issues, the union says it is seeking a pension fund for its New England Teamsters members.

Meanwhile, officials with the Winchester School District reportedly sent a letter to parents saying two contract sessions are scheduled for September 10th and 11th.

Meanwhile, if an agreement can’t be reached, union officials say they’re ready to call a strike ‘when the time is right.’
