Victim Of Weekend Drowning Is Now Identified

The teenager who was the victim of a weekend drowning in the water off Hampton Beach is being identified.

Authorities say 17-year-old Youness Kraouch passed away Sunday after being pulled away by a strong current while swimming with his family.

His father tried to save him, but wasn’t successful and had to be rescued by lifeguards.

The teen was a student at Pinkerton Academy in Derry and grief counselors will be on hand today for students and staff.
