West Alton Marina Owner Faces Civil Lawsuit

Brian Fortier, an owner of the West Alton Marina who was convicted of sexually assaulting a teenage employee but whose conviction was thrown out because of juror misconduct, will face trial again early next year.

In addition, he faces a related misdemeanor charge and a civil lawsuit.

Fortier, who co-owns the marina with two siblings, appeared in Belknap County Superior Court for a status hearing during which she set February 18, 2025, as the start of his retrial on charges of felonious sexual assault and aggravated felonious sexual assault.
