White Shark Tracked Near Beach in Rye

A nine-foot-three-inch shark was tracked Monday less than a mile off Jenness Beach in Rye.

The non-profit research organization Ocearch said the electronically tagged juvenile shark named ‘Anne Bonny’ was pinged around 5:30 a.m.

She was tagged off the North Carolina coast in 2021.
