Woman Arrested for Allegedly Assaulting Officer at Merrimack Premium Outlets

A Boston woman is expected to be in court after being accused of assaulting a police officer.

Law enforcement was called to the Polo Outlet at Merrimack Premium Outlets Saturday after getting a report of a theft in progress.

The suspect, 23-year-old Maryah Williams, kicked an officer in the stomach while he was trying to handcuff her and then sprayed the officer in the eyes with pepper spray.

Williams is facing multiple charges and is being held on preventative detention.

The officer is going to be OK.
