Democratic Candidate Withdraws from 2nd District Race
State Senator Becky Whitley is out of the race for the open seat in New Hampshire’s 2nd Congressional District.
In a statement the Hopkinton Democrat said her candidacy gave her a front row seat to the outsized role of money and insider connections in politics.
Whitley said remaining in the race is not the best use of her time and energy, or the best way to advance her goals in public service.
The seat is up for grabs with Congresswoman Annie Kuster’s decision not to seek re-election.
