Officials Suspend Search for New Hampshire Man Who Fell Overboard Off Maine
Authorities are suspending their search for a New Hampshire man who fell overboard from a recreational boat off Maine Thursday night.
U.S. Coast Guard officials say 30-year-old Edward Berke went into the water in Casco Bay near Maine’s Clapboard Island shortly before they got the call around 8 p.m.
Guard personnel reportedly searched that night continuing through Friday, covering roughly 350 square miles, without finding any sign of Berke apart from what may have been some flip-flops he’d been wearing.
Officials say three other people were on the boat when Berke went into the water.
