Man Dead After Being Hit by Boat on Lake Winnisquam

A man has tragically lost his life after being hit by a boat on Lake Winnisquam in Tilton.

According to authorities, 76-year-old Thomas Mead was operating his boat Sunday when he was struck by a pontoon boat operated by a 17-year-old.

The teenager began CPR on Mead who was taken to the hospital but couldn’t be saved.

The crash remains under investigation, but officials say this incident is a reminder of how important safety is while out on the water.
