Police Dog Retrieves Concord Car Chase Suspect

A high-speed chase that started on Interstate 93 came to end in Concord early Monday morning when a state police dog nabbed the suspect who abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot, police said.

Richard Gomez, 37, of Lawrence, Massachusetts was arrested and charged with disobeying a police officer, resisting arrest, aggravated driving while intoxicated, operating after suspension offense, reckless conduct and reckless operation.

Gomez abandoned his vehicle at an apartment complex and fled on foot.

That’s when he was apprehended by the state trooper’s K-9 partner, Mando.
